Catalog Review: Earth Day 2014 (Bonus Reviews included!)

Since yesterday was Earth Day, here is a review of all the Earth-related items that came out in the catalog.

Earth Day Cowboy
Earth Day Cowboy

Design: A cowboy hat that is probably made of cardboard surrounds this little sphere.  I think the earth on this shows very great detail, but the thing that really turns the tables is that this looks more like a camping hat than a cowboy hat.  6/10.

Price: Starting the sale off right, this item costed 100 R$, and almost 690 People decided to take the opportunity to have this, as it went limited.  9/10.

Status as Limited: The price is now 6X the original price.  Wow.  8/10.

Overall: Well, I love the earth, but putting a cardboard style hat around it, well... it's kind of ironic, don't you think?  7.75/10.

Recycled Cardboard Visor 2014
Recycled Cardboard Visor 2014

Design: A very good looking visor for a piece of cardboard.  The recycle sign fits it just right, and the visor looks good from any perspective.  10/10.

Price: Obviously, 10 Tix is going to be the price for a visor.  29,000 people have bought this.  10/10.

Overall: Everybody could get this, everybody could wear this.  I think this is the perfect hat for someone with a lower amount of cash, or needs to look good in light brown clothing.  10/10.

Earth Day Tie 2014
Earth Day Tie 2014
Design: This tie looks good all the way down to the threads holding it together.  The green color really brings out the tie.  10/10.

Price: 25 R$ is an awful lot to pay for a tie, but 3300 People were satisfied with it.  7/10.

Overall: Well, the tie looks good and all, but if you like to waste money on Earth Day, then it's not a good buy.  8.5/10.

Cardboard Bowler
Cardboard Bowler
Design: If you like bowlers, and if you like recycling, then this is the perfect hat for you.  Although, it might hurt your eyes a bit if the pattern has eluded you.  9/10.

Price:Just like any other bowler, you had to have paid 250 R$ to get this.  9/10.

Status as Limited: There were 1000 in stock.  The price rose to 550 R$, but by the end of the day, fell down to 450 R$.  6/10.

Overall: Wasn't the best bowler, but it was still good.  8.25/10.

Happy Spring Time Flower Top Hat
Happy Spring Time Flower Hat
Design: Everybody knows you can't have Earth Day without Spring, so that's why this hat was made.  It has a waterfall circling it as a fedora's band circling it.  8/10.

Price: Priced at 1,000 R$ with a 24-Hour Timer, this hat is a little bit out of reach for the average person, but if it were to go limited, it would profit epically, with its current 575 Sales.  7/10.

Overall: I would say that this was also a pretty good hat, but for its series, not really.  7.5/10.

Bloxy Cola Recycled Aluminum Cap
Bloxy Cola Recycled Aluminum Cap
Design: Well, if you could make a cap with just one cola cap, it wouldn't look good, that's why they took the time to sew about 7 different ones together.  So, the design derails the name.  8/10.

Price: Roughly 50 R$ would buy you a cap, and that's pretty expensive for a cap.  1560 People have it.  6/10.

Overall: As I am saying for a lot of these, it looks good, but they want us to spend lots of virtual trees robux on a hat.  7/10.

Recycled Cardboard Headphones
Recycled Cardboard Headphones
Design: They look very good, even the description says so, too... wait a minute!  ROBLOX just called this garbage!  Well, it IS recycled, and it's a retexture, so... yeah.  6/10.

Price: They are priced at 500 R$, cheaper than average headphones in the market, and they have reached 1100 Sales.  9/10.

Overall: Most of the time, retextures and paint jobs aren't cool, but in this case, they totally redid these.  7.5/10.

Conclusion: Well, all these hats got a good review, which managed to pass, but the weight of the cons these all have to carry... ouch.  Well, they tried.

Now let's go to some bonus items for this review!  Yippee!

Earth Day 2010 Cap
Earth Day 2010 Cap
Design: This looks really good for a cap, especially for its time, back in 2010.  10/10.

Price: Well, I don't know what the price was, so we're going to skip this one.

Status as Limited: Even with 5855 Sales in the way, this hat managed to be priced as low as 690 R$.  Woah.  9/10.

Overall: Having this back in 2010 would've been cool, but I joined later that year.  9.5/10.

Design: Well, I can already tell just by a glance that this is a retexture of the Halloween Fedora given to us last October.  4/10.

Price: 475 R$ for a retexture?  I paid 500 R$ just to get the other version!  It only has 222 Sales, but only for that reason, though.  It has a small chance of going limited.  3/10.

Overall: I have no words to describe this.  Really.  I got nothing.  3.5/10.

Conclusion: One good and one bad here, I assume.  That's still 50%, though.  Also, the Springtime 2014 Cap looks way too similar to this.  I better go change it.
